Hi Christine, What about nearer the borders, I live in Scotland, I'm sure others do too. That way it wouldn't be so far too travel for us north of the border. Sounds great though. Lorna x

Some of us were chatting about this yesterday..... Nothing stopping us meeting a few times each year.... not everyone is going to be able to make it but it would be great to have a few options... Could do one meet in England (Central if easier for everyone), Wales and Scotland..... :D Helly x Celebrating 10yrs of National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society Doing a Tandem Skydive - May 2011 - All Sponsorship Welcome - www.justgiving.com/helencopeland Read my blog - Helly Copeland

Could do one meet in England (Central if easier for everyone), Wales and Scotland..... :D A few across the UK would be great, that way we can include more folks in our get together, and as Helly says nothing stopping us having a few every year :) 2012 Fundraising for the National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society (NRAS) http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/RoboJo

Hi Liz Map is here http://mapservices.org/myguestmap/map/NRAS
Seems there's a few duplicate entries I'll go in and prune them so we get a better idea. 20 mins or so :) Jo. 2012 Fundraising for the National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society (NRAS) http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/RoboJo

Hi Jo, We talked about this on our table too - I will search our area - thinking maybe Ross on Wye, just off the M50. Very scenic with good driving links - would be good for central and perhaps for people from Wales. I will check out a few hotels - prices and facilities over the next few days and report back xx Scotland would be lovely too - especially a bargain break so we could make a l'il holiday of it xx

Hi Guys I think one way or another we were all chatting about the possibilities open to us! The option of having several 'get-togethers' a year in different parts of the U.K. would be fab and give more people a chance to come along. Apart from the obvious things like disabled access and facilities, it's important to chose somewhere serviced by good road and rail networks (not everyone wants to or is able to drive). Jo, I think I'm living in the sea somewhere off the Fylde coast on the map! I dithered too much when placing my pin!! Would be good if I could be moved on to terra firma. Thank you! Lyn x

I think little mini get togethers are a good idea too. you could end up with lots and lots though- and it is nice to meet people from all over the place.
the national get together in southampton sounds a great idea

The map is a bit tricky to navigate I'll see if there's any tweaking I can do, or maybe see if there's one that's a bit easier to use... Jo.. goes off into geek mode (ohh wait! That's my normal mode!) I'll keep you all posted 2012 Fundraising for the National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society (NRAS) http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/RoboJo

Hi Jenni, when's the national get-together in Southampton? Is this NRAS HQ? Sounds like a good idea :) Good point about rail networks Lyn, thought this may be helpful for ideas for most suitable venues (if I managed to get the link to work.....) http://www.nationalrail....NationalRailmaplarge.pdf
